Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
the last (non-fic) cross-post
Like a lot of you out there, I'm sick of cross-posting to LJ and GJ. I haven't received any GJ comments, and get very few IJ comments, and as [info]geoviki said, it kind of defeats the sense of community and interactivity to have multiple journals, because everyone can't read the same comments.

So- this will be the last cross-posted entry, except for fic, which I will continue to cross-post to both journals. I have decided the following:

1. LJ will be my primary journal for now.
2. I will use GJ and IJ only as a backup journal for LJ outages, and to archive fic.
3. I will probably delete other entries in GJ/IJ except for fics.

If anyone on my flist is planning on moving exclusively to another journal, let me know so I can read it on a feed. Can't read friends-locked entries that way, but oh well. And if you want to read my ongoing journal, please friend me on LJ or create a feed.

And I have a Journalfen account, but it's not working. I probably will only use it to leave the odd comment on Fandom Wank.

This whole thing is just too hard. What have you decided?

The comments are my main objection to all the crossposting, yeah. :-/ I think if I make a post that I want discussion on, I'll still crosspost, but I'll turn off comments on everywhere but LJ and just direct people there. But for just the everyday stuff I don't mind scattered comments so much.

I wouldn't mind scattered comments so much except for the fact I'm not getting many in IJ/GJ. I'm starting to feel like I'm spamming to post in more than one journal if some are checking more than one flist.

Hi, sweets!

I'll follow you wherever you go. ;-p But honestly, I'll probably gradually move over here to IJ, though I don't see that happening too quickly. I'll still be around to touch base on LJ. *hugs*

I'll be around most of today. Trying to get unpacked and stuff, but shoot me an email anytime. We'll decide what to do with it.

I'm going to be here at IJ, but I've re-added you back to my LJ reading filter.

Thanks for the update!

Thanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying them. I love writing them, though I've still got a lot to learn about the form. It's so amazingly complex and clean.
